More energy in everyday life – how sedentary behaviour affects health and stress
The recording will soon be updated with Swedish and English subtitles.
In an everyday life where many of us sit for large parts of the day, both at work and privately, sedentary lifestyle can affect us in several ways. It may only be noticeable when the energy starts to run out, the stress increases or the body signals that it needs more variety.
Sedentary lifestyle is not just about physical health. It can also affect how we feel mentally, how we manage to perform and how we experience our working day. When we create more opportunities for movement, energy-creating recovery and good habits, we build better conditions for well-being and energy – for the individual, the team and the organization.
In this webinar, we talk about the impact of sedentary sitting on health and stress, and about what we can do together to create more movement and energy in everyday life.
During the webinar, we will talk about, among other things:
- How sedentary lifestyle can affect both the body and mental well-being
- The connection between sedentary sitting, mental fatigue and the experience of stress
- How small elements of movement during the day can contribute to better focus, higher energy and more presence
- Why good habits are easier to create when the environment provides the right conditions
It's not about making big changes or exercising more. Often it's the small elements that become a natural part of everyday life that make the biggest difference over time.
To create sustainable habits, both individual responsibility and support from the employer are needed. When the workplace provides the conditions for variation and movement, it becomes easier for more people to make healthy choices.
