What it is
Statutory Check-up: Flight - Air Traffic Controllers is a medical and psychological assessment to ensure Air traffic controllers' ability to perform assigned safety duties and obligations. After the check-up, the employee receives a class 3 medical certificate. The first examination of prospective air traffic controllers can only be carried out at an aviation medical center approved by the Transport Authority, which is located in Stockholm and Malmö.
When it should be done
- Before starting work on an aircraft
- After that every other year for employees under 40
- Every year for employees over 40
The employer is responsible for ensuring that the medical check-ups are done with the right periodicity.
How it works
- Order service
When you have ordered the service, your employee is booked for the check-up. The time is communicated in a text message to the employee. - Visit
During the visit, ECG and audiometry are performed according to statutory periodicity. Sampling and measurment of blood pressure, height and weight is also included. - Certificate
After the examination, a class 3 medical certificate is issued. - Feedback
No feedback is made if the check-up is approved and a certificate can be issued.
