Asbestos Analysis

Employees in the construction industry are at high risk of being exposed to asbestos dust. Asbestos is a dangerous substance that can cause serious diseases. If a material contains asbestos, it is usually necessary to do an asbestos test to get a sure answer.

What it is

Asbestos Analysis is done by us for all types of workplaces and businesses. We have over 50 years of analysis experience in asbestos and have permission from the Swedish Work Environment Authority to handle and perform asbestos analysis / asbestos samples. Depending on the material to be tested, samples are taken in different ways:

• Tile, plastic carpet, wet room wallpaper and the like: about 5 x 5 cm. Make sure that the fix and joint, glue or similar come with it.
• Pipe insulation and other powdery: 1 to 2 tablespoons.
• Window putty, sealing in ventilation ducts, etcetera: about 5 to 10 cm.

How it works

1. Take samples
   Take samples as above and place each sample in a separate and sealable plastic bag. You put the plastic bags in a padded envelope.
2. Fill out the order form
   Fill out the asbestos analysis order form and pack the samples.
3. Send sample
   The asbestos samples, together with the signed order form, are sent to AB Previa, Laboratory; Box 1094, SE-164 25 Coffin. Large parcels are sent to the visiting address: Kistagången 16 / Isafjordsgatan 22, 164 40 Kista.
   
   The sample can also be handed directly to our unit in Kista, weekdays between 8:00 and 16:30 and also to our unit in Linköping.
4. Test results
   The test results are submitted within two working days after the test has been received. Tick "Normal" on the order form. If the test result is urgent, answers are submitted immediately when the test comes in. Within 24 hours at the latest, you will receive your answer.* Tick "On the minute" on the order form.
   
   *On a few occasions per year, this service is not offered.
