The statutory check-up complies with the legal requirements of the pattern (1983:929) and Ship Security Regulation (2003:438) and applies to seafarers who work at an unlimited speed (worldwide) and at a limited speed (Europe).

What it is

Statutory Check-Up – Seafarers, Full Examination is done to detect potential health risks for seafarers on unlimited speed (worldwide) and at a limited speed (Europe). The full examination should also be carried out if you, as an employer, consider that an additional examination is due to illness or other things that affect your ability. sush as:

After the check-up, we will issue a Manila certificate and serviceability assessment. The serviceability assessment is based on the doctor finding that the seafarer does not have an illness that could affect the health and safety for the employee or other crew. The employee cannot have an illness that may be presumed to be aggravated by, or render him or her unfit for, service at sea. The employee must also meet the requirements for sight and hearing that apply to the intended duty.

How it works

  1. Order service
    When you have ordered the service, your employee is booked in for the check-up. The time is communicated in a text message to the employee.
  2. Visit
    The visit consists of a general health examination with health declaration, eye and hearing examinations and examination of possible presence of tuberculosis.
  3. Feedback
    The Manila certificate and the service ability assessment submitted to the employee.
