First-day Certificate – Investigation

Request

The purpose of this service is to look in to an employee's short-term absence. The result can be used as a basis for decisions about first-day certificates.

What it isThe statutory check-up complies with the legal requirements of AFS 2023:15 and applies to employees who are exposed or will be exposed to lead in their work. Before you order the service, you need to carry out a risk assessment.

What it is

Medical Check-up - Lead is done to reduce health risks associated with lead exposure. The control detects increased uptake and increased storage of lead in the body at an early stage. After the check-up, we will issue a certificate of service.

When it should be done

How it works

  1. Order service
Fill in information from the risk assessment in the order form. When you have ordered the service, your employee is booked for the check-up. The time is communicated in a text message to the employee.
  2. Visit
During the visit, an examination is carried out along with blood and urin samples. The performed risk assessment is the basis for the visit.
  3. Certificate
The medical examination and test results form the basis for assessment and whether a certificate for service can be issued.
  4. Feedback
A certificate for service is sent to you as orderer via secure e-mail.

First day certificate – Investigation starts with an assignment dialogue via telephone between you as the client and one of our rehab coordinators. Depending on the outcome of the conversation, different activities then take place; for example, a survey interview with the rehab coordinator for the employee, sampling with the company nurse and medical examination with the company doctor. The content of the mapping depends on the situation and what emerges in dialogue with you as the client. Screening of alcohol consumption and breath tests may occur.

How it works

  1. Order service
When you have ordered the service, you will be notified of the time for the assignment dialogue with the rehab coordinator via e-mail.
  2. Telephone consultation
One of our rehab coordinators contacts you as the client for a dialogue about the employee's sickness absence pattern and then books further interventions.
  3. Feedback
After the investigation has been carried out, you as the orderer will receive documentation that can form the basis for deciding on first-day certificates. If a decision is made that the employee should be submitted with a first-day certificate, this is communicated to Previa and the rehab coordinator. Employees receive written and oral information from the employer and/or Previa on how to proceed to get a "first day certificate" issued on the first day of sick leave.

FAQ

Why first-day certificates?

A first-day certificate can make the employee aware of their sick leave pattern and employers can be expected to receive lower short-term sick leave. The ability to assess work ability and the possibility of adapted tasks may increase.
