Metro and Light Rail, Periodic
OrderThe statutory check-up complies with the legal requirements of TSFS 2019:113 and applies to employees who performs safety-critical tasks in the metro and light rail.
What it is
Statutory Check-up - Metro and Light Rail, periodic is done to assess the suitability of employees to perform safety-critical tasks. After the check-up, we will issue a medical statement. You need to specify in the order form which parts within 7§ the new employee will work with:
- Driving a vehicle
- Direct or supervise rail traffic (e.g. signaller, train conductor, chief overseer)
- Assess the road safety of vehicles or track facilities (e.g. inspector, signal safety controller)
- Otherwise operate traffic and work on tracks according to the operator's safety management system (e.g. train commander, traffic assistant, supervisor with A, E, L or S protection)
When it should be done
- Every five years till the birthday of 41
- Every three years from birthday of 41 till the birthday of 62
- Annually after the birthday of 62
How it works
- Order service
State the work duties of the employee in the order form. When you have ordered the service, your employee is booked for the check-up. The time is communicated in a text message to the employee. - Visit
The visit consists of a general medical examination with sampling. - Certificate
A medical statement is issued by the doctor. - Feedback
The statement is sent in accordance with what was determined in the order. If the employee is not fit to work, you will be informed immediately.
Information for employees
- Bring any glasses prescription/optician certificate and/or hearing aids to the examination.
- Bring any previous medical statement to the visit.
- Save the new medical statement after the visit.
